Our Team
Gordon, Pierce, and Cody Drummond, and the team that has built every pool alongside them.
One Family, Four Decades
Drummond & Sons has been led by the same family for forty years. Gordon Drummond founded the company in 1985 and still oversees every project that crosses the desk, walks every site at least once during construction, and meets personally with every family before a pool is designed for their property. His sons, Pierce and Cody Drummond, now lead sales, communications, and client relationships, working directly with the architects, designers, and homeowners involved in each project. There is no account executive between you and the Drummonds, no project manager who translates between the family and the trades, and no layer of corporate process that gets in the way of a clear answer to a clear question.

Direct Access
There is no account executive at Drummond & Sons, no project manager who translates between you and the people doing the work, and no internal hierarchy that prevents you from talking directly to the family who owns the company. From the first site visit through the final day of construction, the Drummonds answer their own phones, return their own emails, and walk their own sites. The number of layers between your question and your answer is, by design, approximately zero.
Trade Partners
Beyond the in-house team are the architects, landscape designers, structural engineers, masons, plasterers, and lighting specialists Drummond has worked alongside, in many cases, since the company began. These are not subcontractors assembled fresh for each job. They are long-standing collaborators who understand the Drummond way of building, the standards every pool is held to, and the design language that has come to define the company's work across the Bay Area.

Site Superintendents
Every Drummond project is overseen day-to-day by a site superintendent who has built hundreds of pools across the Bay Area, in many cases over fifteen or twenty years with the company. They are the people who coordinate the trades on your property, manage inspections, hold the schedule through the inevitable variables of weather and material lead times, and surface the small questions that need answers from the family before a decision is locked in. By the time they reach a Drummond site as lead, most superintendents have personally built more pools than entire smaller pool companies have completed.
Drummond & Sons keeps a small design studio in San Jose, where prospective clients are welcome to drop by, walk through the current portfolio, look at material samples in person, and meet whichever member of the team is best suited to the project being considered. Most clients find that the first in-person conversation tells them everything they need to know about whether Drummond is the right partner for what is, after all, a forty-year decision about the most prominent feature of their backyard.
Come Meet the Team

Design and Engineering
Drummond's design and engineering team works in close coordination with your architect and landscape designer from the earliest concept phase of a project, translating the architectural intent into the structural calculations and hydraulic plans that allow a vanishing edge to actually vanish or an Auto Floor to actually function. Their construction documents are detailed enough to satisfy the most exacting Silicon Valley architects and the most cautious municipal engineering departments, which is to say, among the most detailed pool plans being produced in California today.
Starting with
a Conversation
Whether you have a specific project in mind, a difficult site you have been told elsewhere cannot accommodate a pool, or simply a few questions about what custom construction actually involves, the Drummond family is happy to schedule a call. The first conversation usually takes about fifteen minutes, covers no boilerplate, and tends to make the rest of the process feel substantially clearer. It costs nothing and commits to nothing.
Working together for more than four decades produces is a team that recognizes problems before they happen, knows what a certain soil type means for hillside construction and can predict how every shape and finish will look in five summers.
What Forty Years Builds

Begin Your Project
Every Drummond project begins with a property visit and an unhurried walk of the site, with whichever member of the family is best suited to the project. The first visit can be arranged anywhere across the Bay Area, anywhere on the calendar, and is the simplest way to find out whether Drummond is the right partner for the years of design and construction ahead.
